Institute of Holistic Nutrition Online’s Diploma in Applied Holistic Nutrition is recognized and approved by two of Canada’s respected educational standards bodies: the International Organization of Nutritional Consultants (IONC) and the Canadian Association of Natural Nutritional Practitioners (CANNP). The designation CNP is earned exclusively by graduates of Institute of Holistic Nutrition Online.

When nearing completion of the program, guidance for sourcing applications to register and submit to IONC or CANNP will be offered. Graduates of Institute of Holistic Nutrition Online are fully qualified, with no further examinations, to receive the RNCP/ROHP designation from the IONC or the NNCP designation from CANNP.

American Certification

Graduates of Institute of Holistic Nutrition Online’s Applied Holistic Nutrition program, who wish to practice in the United States, qualify to become professional members of the American organization, the National Association of Nutrition Professionals (USA). NANP is a non-profit business league of nutrition professionals originally founded in 1985 as the Society of Certified Nutritionists. The NANP represents holistically trained nutrition professionals. Their mission is to enhance the integrity of the holistic nutrition profession through self-governance, educational standards and a rigorous code of ethics.
