Kiara was born and raised in the Commonwealth of The Bahamas. She has an extensive science background which includes 3 years as a Bio-chemistry major at a local college and 5 years of professional medical training at the University of the West Indies; where she earned a Bachelor’s in Basic Medical Sciences. Her interest in preventative medicine and culinary arts led her to the IHN Vancouver campus where she graduated with First Class Honors in 2017. After becoming a CNP, Kiara returned to The Bahamas where she worked as a Certified Nutritional Practitioner within numerous private medical facilities whilst pursuing her Masters in Clinical Nutrition at the University of Aberdeen.
Kiara enjoys volunteering her time on organic farms or at culinary events and sharing her love of science and philosophy with those she encounters. Kiara’s teaching philosophy is rooted in creating solid learning foundations for anyone at any level to build upon. Her hope is to inspire her students towards achieving mastery within their respective spheres of influence and to feel confident to practically transfer the principles from the classroom to the real world. Kiara teaches Human Anatomy & Physiology at Institute of Holistic Nutrition’s Online program.
